I love steak. It’s one of my very favorite dinners and I love coming up with new ways to cook it. This seared steak is definitely my new go to. The garlic, thyme and butter give the steak an insane flavor and searing it ensures that it cooks perfect every. single. time. Enjoy!
Garlic Thyme NY Strips

2 NY Strip Steaks
4 Tablespoons Butter
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
6 – 10 Sprigs Thyme
2 Gloves Garlic
Salt & Pepper
Directions
- Take NY Strips out of the refrigerator and allow to sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes prior to cooking.
- Heat olive oil in nonstick pan on high heat.
- Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper on each side.
- Add steak to pan and sear on one side for 3-4 minutes (for medium rare). Once one side is seared, flip and add butter, thyme and peeled garlic cloves. Baste the steak with the butter mixture and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until it reaches the ideal temperature.
- Remove the steaks from the pan and let steak rest for 10 minutes and serve. Enjoy!
