For those of you that don’t know, philly cheese steak is one of my very favorite foods. I live for a good philly. When I heard philly cheese Steak on pizza I was a little hesitant however one bite changed my mind! Here is my very own version of a philly pizza! Enjoy!
Philly Cheese Steak Pizza

Homemade or Store Bought Pizza Dough
1 Package Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 Yellow Onion
1/2 Green Pepper
1/2 Pound Flank Steak
1/2 Cup Mushrooms
1 Tablespoon Butter
- Sauce
4 Ounces Cream Cheese
1 Tablespoons Milk or Cream
2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese
1 TSP Red Pepper Flakes
1 TSP Garlic Powder
Directions
- Heat oven to 475 degrees.
- In large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Saute onions, green pepper and mushrooms. Cook for about 20 minutes or until tender. Set aside.
- Cook steak in skillet until medium well. Set aside.
- Assemble sauce by mixing together cream cheese (at room temp), milk, Parmesan cheese garlic powder and red pepper flakes.
- Spread dough across pan. Add sauce to dough. Then add steak, veggies and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in oven for 25 – 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbling. Enjoy!
Wine Pairing: a Cabernet Franc would pair great with this dish!
Looks super good! I’ll have to make that sometime. I had an awesome philly at a restaurant in corpus christi when I went – it was clearly a restaurant owned by someone who used to live there and had lots of Philadelphia memorabilia. 🙂
