I recently hosted a few of my girl friends for happy hour and made these bites! They were a hit!! They are delicious but more importantly SO easy to make (who wants to be slaving away in the kitchen during happy hour?!). These are definitely going to be my go to party snack from here on out.

1 Yellow Onion
1 Package White Button Mushrooms
4 Tablespoons Butter
1 Package Crescent Roll Dough
1/2 Cup Gruyere Cheese
1/4 Cup White Cooking Wine
Parsley, Salt and Pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Dice onions into thin strips. Saute in pan over medium heat with melted butter for about 35 – 40 minutes or until super tender. This will seem like a long time but trust me it’s so worth it.
- Dice mushrooms. Once you onions are mostly done, add mushrooms and saute for another 15 – 20 minutes until tender. Add Wine to pan and cook until liquid reduces by half.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Once mixture is cooked, unfold crescent roll dough and slice into rectangles. Add dough to muffin tins (one rectangle per tin). Then add onion&mushroom mixture (about 1 tablespoon per tin). Top with Gruyere cheese.
- Bake for 12 – 15 minutes or until dough is golden brown. Add chopped parsley once removed from oven.
Notes
- You can make the onion & Mushroom mixture the night before and store in refrigerator for up to 48 hours.
