I woke up this Sunday morning craving a hearty breakfast. We had some bison breakfast sausage in the fridge so I decided to whip up some good ole biscuits & gravy. This is my all time favorite breakfast food. Enjoy!
Biscuits & Gravy

16 OZ Package Sausage
3 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Onion
6 Tablespoons Flour
4 Cups Milk
1/2 TSP Nutmeg
1 TSP Salt
1 TSP Pepper
Dash Worcestershire Sauce
1 Package Biscuits
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook biscuits and set aside.
- Finley chop 3 tablespoons onion and add to large pan with sausage. Crumble sausage into small pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook sausage until browned.
- Once browned, stir in flour and cook for about 6 minutes or until mixture turns golden.
- Stir in milk, add seasoning and cook over medium low heat until mixture is thickened. Stir almost constantly.
- Once mixture reaches the desired consistency serve over warm biscuits. Enjoy!
Notes
- I like to serve my biscuits & gravy with a fried egg on top!
