There are so many banana bread recipes out there but I have to say my Mom’s recipe is by FAR my favorite. It’s so simple but heavenly. She created this recipe a while back and it’s been a family favorite ever since I can remember. Enjoy!
Mama Sue’s Banana Bread

1 Cup Vegetable Oil
3 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
4 Cups Bananas
4 TSP Baking Soda
2 TSP Salt
1 TSP Cinnamon
1/2 TSP Nutmeg
5 Cups Flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 3 bread pans and set aside.
- Mix together oil, sugar and eggs. Set Aside. In a separate bowl, mash bananas and add baking soda. Add bananas to sugar mixture. Add spices and flour to sugar mixture and mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into greased bread pans (filling only 1/2 full). Bake for 50 – 60 minutes or until bread is finished baking. Enjoy!
Notes
- The more ripe the bananas the better!
