Charcuterie boards are one thing to bring to a party that will make everyone’s head turn. I used to be so intimidated by creating my own until I found out how incredibly simple it can be. Follow my guide below for the ultimate charcuterie board.
What You’ll Need:
- A platter to serve it on (I bought mine at Homegood’s for $12.99. They have a ton of affordable options to choose from.)
- 3 – 4 different cheeses (try to get cheeses with different flavors and textures) for this board, I used brie, pepperjack, smoked gouda, and an “everything bagel” cheese.
- 2 – 4 meats (I used salami, jalapeno cheddar bison summer sausage, and a dried chianti infused sausage).
- Fruit, nuts, crackers and olives (to add color and texture)!
To assemble, I always start by placing a large item in the middle. As you can see for this board I used grapes. I then distribute the meat and cheese around the center. It’s important you make sure they are evenly distributed. I also make sure to cut the meat and cheese differently to create a nice ascetic. I then fill it in by adding nuts, crackers, olives and fruit. Lastly, I added some rosemary for a pop of color.
Really play around with it and make it your own. You really can’t go wrong with a platter of meat and cheese!
Enjoy!
